LLoyd Central Compounding Pharmacy
We worked with Lloyd Central Compounding Pharmacy to renovate and existing building in NE Portland.
The building was originally built in 1944 as a medical clinic. It was a concrete building with a modern entry at the corner of Broadway and NE 26th Avenue. Over the years the building had many alterations one of which blocked in the entry on Broadway and moved it to the parking area to the South. An addition to the South housed a medical imaging device for a number of years. The most recent use of the space was a photography studio. The previous exterior was dated and in need to an update. The owner of Lloyd Center Compounding Pharmacy purchased the building in 2017 with the goal of modifying the building to suit their business needs. The Compounding operation is a light industrial manufacturing process which involves clean rooms and labs. The business also has a small retail component. In addition to complete interior remodel of the new pharmacy spaces, the entire exterior facade received a much needed face lift. Stucco and a sad blue metal parapet were replaced with new cement panels and metal trim and metal details. With the changes, the building has been updated and is a welcome improvement to the changing, eclectic neighborhood. The owner is enjoying the completed project with its efficient layout, large parking area and pride of building ownership.
