Burlingam Remodel
This was a significant interior remodel which includes a new kitchen, powder room and office on the first floor as well as a master suite on the second floor. The existing house is a nicely detailed 1941 Cap Cod and the new owners wanted to make it their own. The existing kitchen was outdated so we worked with the owners to make a larger and more open space. On the second floor, a compact bedroom, walk-in closet and full bath create a cozy new master suite.
"We were extremely lucky to have had Jennifer Korbich as our architect for the remodel of our 1941 Cape Cod home. The job was significant and included removing walls, putting in a new kitchen and three new bathrooms, redesigning the master bedroom, earthquake retrofitting, and updating the mechanicals. After creating detailed plans of the existing space and taking the time to understand our priorities, Jennifer came up with a wonderful design that brought the house into the present while honoring its past. Her careful up-front work along with her experience with older homes paid off as our project moved from design to remodel. It was amazing to see her design come to life and we absolutely love the results."
